Coming up with educational activities for your child, doesn’t have to be in the old conventional way by learning from a book. You can come up with different games that are fun and don’t require much effort, time and money. While there lots of things that you could do to teach your child valuable lessons and skills, I made a list of a few games that you can do at home together with your little one. Check the list.

“Find it “game

An important part of human’s brain is the ability to quickly solve problems. This skill is essential in our everyday life. Problems come from different sources, but you can train your kid’s brain how he can solve them and increase his general problem-solving ability. The training for this kind of ability can be done by playing the “Find It” game. For this game you’ll need to hide different objects in certain space. It can be any room from your living space. Hide 10 objects on different locations within that space. If you want to make the game more interesting, hide small objects such as buttons, pens, coins etc. Don’t use breakable or valuable objects. Take paper and write clues that will lead the player to the hidden objects. For an example, if you hide something behind the desk, write “people use that place for eating”.

“Coloring Games”

Coloring games let kids express their creativity. They don’t present only fun. They are beneficial too. Playing coloring games utilize kid’s motor skills. You don’t have to buy coloring book in order to play this game. These days, there are lots of sites that offer “printable” pages in many different forms. You can find your kid’s favorite cartoon character from Super Why, Clifford, Sesame Street and many more. All you have to do is to find sites that offer this kind of service and print the pages that your child wants. If you want you can visit sites that offer free online coloring activity. Search on the web for that kind of sites and let your child choose from the wide options available on these sites. If he is horse lover, search for horse games that offer coloring activity. If he wants vehicles, search for that type of games. Let him choose what he wants to color. Using virtual crayons he can draw and color the pictures without any difficulty.

“Basketball Game”

Most of the kids struggle with math subject. If your child has problems with this subject or you want to improve his math knowledge, “Basketball Game” is the right game for this purpose. If you don’t have real basketball court, you can use some empty big box as a basketball court. Make ball from paper or other material. Ask your child to take three rounds of 10 shoots. Let him count the shoots that he makes and keep a track of his results. If you want to make the game more challenging, after each round ask what the ratio of missed shoots and basket scores is.

No matter what kind of education activities you’ll choose to play at home, don’t forget to have fun together with your child.
